Mikhail
Benioumov was born in Kiev in 1948. Graduated from the Russian Music Academy
named by Gnesins. The outstanding musicians M. Garlitzkii, M. Fihtengoltz, R.
Dubinsky, M. Blok were among his teachers.
Since 1971 M. Benioumov has been teaching violin, quartet
and chamber orchestra classes in higher educational institutions. He is a head
of the string department of the Krasnoyarsk State Academy of Music and Theatre
since 1982. More then one hundred violinists graduated from his violin class.
Among them: prize-winners of the International Competitions ("Nadejda -2001",
"Nadejda-2004", "The Siberian Violin", "The Novosibirsk
Competition", The International Young Musician Competition (Lonigo, Italy,
2003) ), the All-Russian Violinists Competitions, and the Siberian Open Violinists
Competition, as well as a lot of winners of regional competitions.
A lot of M° Benioumov 's students work at the Krasnoyarsk
chamber orchestra. Mikhail Benioumov is a founder and permanent artistic director
of this orchestra, which participated in many international festivals.
Professor Benioumov carries out an active concert work
as a conductor of the chamber orchestra, soloist and chamber performer in our
country and abroad. M° Benioumov is awarded to the title "The Honoured
Artist of Russia", has a scientific degree of candidate of history of Arts.
Laureate of the Head of Krasnoyarsk's Premium (2000,2004),
Laureate of the "Priznanie" Premium by the Legislative Assembly of
Krasnoyarsk Region (2004).
